Baby Sleep Consultant - Singapore

We know sleep

At Petite Dreamers Sleep Solutions we follow The Sleep Sense™ Method, a behaviour-based sleep approach created from the strong belief healthy sleep habits make for healthy children.

A well-rested child is curious, energetic, happy, playful, and eager to learn

Louise Duncan, Founder & CEO, went through this programme with her own daughter and was so impressed that she decided to become a certified sleep consultant and trained directly under the programme’s founder, Dana Obleman.

The Sleep Sense™ Method was developed in the early 2000s and has helped tens of thousands of mums and dads with their children’s sleeping.

The method revolves around three key parts:

Educating parents on how important good sleeping habits are for your child

There has been a lot of recent progress on the study of sleep, which has shown just how important it is for everyone to sleep well on a consistent basis. This is even truer when talking about young ones who are growing and changing at a rapid rate.

Creating a step-by-step plan

While theory and principles are important, they don’t actually show you what to do. And that’s what parents need, an easy-to-follow guide on how to handle their unique baby’s sleep. From the how’s and when’s to the do’s and don’ts, a customised Sleep Sense™ plan covers it all. Consultants are not doctors but we do take a behaviour-based approach to sleep.

Establishing expectations

Knowing what to expect as you progress in the plan is incredibly important. It ensures that you know if the plan is working and helps you maintain patience and focus even when things might take some time to get straightened out.

Of course, sometimes a baby’s sleeping habits transform overnight, but it’s important to stay grounded in realistic expectations for what is most likely to happen and when.

The Sleep Sense™ method places so much emphasis on accommodating different parenting styles, and the bottom line is that you, as a parent, need to be comfortable with your new sleep plan in order for it to work for your child.

So…what about the tears?

One of the most common questions we get about our work is one of the most widely discussed issues in the sleep consulting world: the matter of “crying it out.”

Some parents struggle with letting their children cry, which is a completely natural inclination. It’s in your nature to protect them, and we would never ask you to ignore that or adopt a careless attitude toward your baby’s emotions.

That said, babies cry to protest change, and if you’re reading this, change is probably what they need.

We will develop a plan that takes all of your concerns into consideration to ensure you have a plan that you are completely comfortable with

You know your child best.  Our goal is always to help improve parents’ relationships with their children by showing them how to encourage healthy, long-term behaviour in their little ones’ sleep habits.

A hands-on and personalised approach

You’ll receive a plan customised for you and your child. We believe that it’s equally important for us to be by your side as you implement the plan to give you support as you go through this transition. That’s why we include at least two weeks of follow-up support with every package we offer, and why we provide a number of options for longer-term follow-up support.

“When parents ask for help with their child’s sleep problems they are placing a great deal of trust in me, and, as your Singapore baby sleep consultant, I want you to know that I take this responsibility very seriously.”

Respect

We understand that every child has their own inimitable personality. We take the time to carefully and respectfully understand your baby’s needs in order to create a sleep programme that will work for them and your family. Our approach to sleep training is not one size fits all, it’s intentionally unique.

Nurture

Each sleep consultant at Petite Dreamers is a mum and is aware of the difficulties, frustrations and exhaustion that you may be feeling. We are here to help you through nighttime tears and that overwhelming feeling of helplessness. We will take you by the hand and lead you to nights filled with blissful peace.

Educate

Each family that we work with has different needs. It’s important that we work together so that we can teach you how to use various tools and techniques. We will tailor your baby’s sleep programme around your family and your lifestyle so that it works for you. We want you to succeed so we write a comprehensive programme for you to follow.

Transform

We have helped thousands of families across Asia and further afield over the last decade. Our empathetic sleep coaching, consultations and programming will help solve your baby’s sleep struggles. We will work with you so that your family can see (and feel) the benefits of a good night’s sleep.
