FAQ’s

I’m wondering…

What method of sleep training do you use?

We are fully trained and certified by The Sleep Sense™ method which was created out of the strong belief that healthy sleep habits make for healthy children. This proven and transformative method places emphasis on accommodating different parenting styles, and the bottom line is that you, as a parent, need to be comfortable with your new sleep plan in order for it to work for your child.

We know that a well-rested child is curious, energetic, happy, playful, and eager to learn so when you ask for our help with your child’s sleep problems, you are placing a great deal of trust in us. As your expert baby sleep coach, we want you to know that we take this responsibility very seriously.

So what about the tears?

One of the most common questions we get about how we work is one of the most widely discussed issues in the sleep consulting world: the matter of “crying it out.” Rest assured, we will never ask you to leave your baby to cry on their own. We want you to be there to offer support and reassurance to your baby.

Instead we use a range of behaviour based, proven sleep training methods which have been tried and tested not just by our clients, but by us with our own children.

As we have experienced ourselves, some parents struggle with letting their children cry, which is a completely natural inclination. It’s in your nature to protect them, and we would never ask you to ignore that or adopt a careless attitude toward your baby’s emotions.

That said, babies cry to protest change, and if you’re reading this, change is probably what they need. Nevertheless, with our ‘Petite Dreamers 4 steps to Sleep Success’ method, we can develop a plan that takes all of your concerns into consideration to ensure that we give you a process that you are completely comfortable with. Sadly we don’t have a magic wand or fairy dust but we do have a proven step formula that, if implemented consistently, does result in it feeling magical!

After all, you know your child best, and it’s not our goal to try to change your relationship with them. Our goal is always to help improve parents’ relationships with their children by showing them how to encourage healthy, long-term behaviour in their little ones’ sleep habits.

Do you offer overnight support services?

We certainly do. We offer a wide range of packages and should one-on-one sleep coaching not be included in your specific package, you can choose to include it.

Am I able to breastfeed and sleep train?

Yes, absolutely you are! Sleep training and breastfeeding are not mutually exclusive and we equally support breast-fed babies and formula-fed babies. We are all for supporting your personal choice and what works best for you and your baby.

I’ve heard of sleep training babies but are you able to work with older children?

Yes, absolutely we can. We work with a range of ages from newborn up to 9 years of age.
